Phi Lambda celebrates Bro. Melvin Jackson (Phi Lambda, ‘88) as he marks 26 years as the senior pastor of Mitchiner’s Grove Baptist Church at 32 Mitchiner Grove, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Under his leadership, the church has become a cornerstone of community involvement, focusing on outreach initiatives that tackle social issues and foster a strong sense of fellowship and support among its members.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bro. Jackson for his unwavering commitment to service and for cultivating a vibrant community. You exemplify the spirit of an Alpha man.

Phi Lambda proudly honors Brother Craig Croom (Phi

Phi Lambda proudly honors Brother Craig Croom (Phi Lambda, ‘95).

Currently, Brother Croom holds the esteemed position of special superior court judge for the 10th District, Third Division in Wake County, North Carolina, having been appointed by Democratic Governor Roy Cooper in 2018.

Bro. Croom completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989 and obtained his J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1994.

In addition to his judicial role, Brother Croom is deeply involved in various community organizations, including the Wendell-Wake County Branch of the NAACP, the Raleigh Wake Citizens Association, and the Wake County Bar Association. He also dedicates his time to the Capital Area Teen Court and the Garner Road YMCA Teen Achievers program.

A dedicated member of Phi Lambda, Brother Croom has held several leadership roles, such as Community Service Chairman, Vice President, and Corresponding Secretary. He is married to Claudia, and they have two children.

Let us celebrate Brother Croom’s achievements as he exemplifies the spirit of a true alpha man.
