Our Leadership
Guiding the Legacy of the Phi Lambda Chapter
Chapter President Welcome
Greetings,
Welcome to the Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Whether you have been a part of Phi Lambda's legacy for decades, are a newly initiated brother, are searching for the chapter where you can make your greatest impact, or are simply learning more about our brotherhood, I warmly welcome you. It is both an incredible honor and a humbling responsibility to serve as President of Phi Lambda during one of the most significant milestones in our chapter's history, our Centennial Celebration. As we commemorate one hundred years of brotherhood, leadership, and service, I am reminded that every generation is entrusted with preserving the legacy of those who came before us while preparing the chapter for those who will follow. As a proud alumnus of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Spring 2020 initiate into this great chapter, I have never believed that leadership is something you wait to receive. Leadership is earned through preparation, service, and a willingness to step forward when your talents are needed. You study the game, prepare yourself, and when the opportunity presents itself, you seize the moment, not for personal recognition, but to strengthen the organization you love. Our nine charter members embodied that same spirit in 1926. They did not wait for someone else to establish Phi Lambda. They recognized an opportunity to create something greater than themselves, petitioned the Fraternity to establish a chapter in Raleigh, and laid the foundation upon which generations of brothers continue to build. Because of their vision, we have the privilege of celebrating one hundred years of impact. There is a quote from the great Babe Ruth that has always resonated with me: The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they do not play together, the club will not be worth a dime. That philosophy reflects how I believe Phi Lambda achieves its greatest success. Every brother brings unique talents, experiences, and perspectives. When we unite those talents behind a shared vision, there is no limit to what we can accomplish. My commitment is to foster an environment where every brother has the opportunity to lead, contribute, and leave a lasting impact on our chapter and our communities. Under my leadership, our focus is simple. We will be intentional in our planning, efficient in our execution, and impactful in our service. We will continue to strengthen our brotherhood, deepen our engagement throughout the communities we serve, and build stronger relationships with our college chapters as we invest in the next generation of Alpha leaders. Leadership is not measured by titles. It is measured by the lives we touch, the leaders we develop, and the legacy we leave behind. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue building upon the extraordinary foundation established by our nine charter members nearly one hundred years ago. Together, we have both the privilege and the responsibility of ensuring that Phi Lambda's next century is even more impactful than its first. Thank you for visiting our chapter's website and for your continued support of Phi Lambda Chapter. I invite you to explore our rich history, learn about our programs, celebrate our Centennial, and discover the many ways our brothers continue to make a meaningful difference throughout Wake and Johnston Counties.
