Impact & Programs
Driving community impact through the mandated national initiatives of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Go-To-High-School, Go-To-College
Academic Excellence & College Readiness
Education has always been at the heart of Phi Lambda's mission to develop future leaders. Through our Alpha 7 Mentoring Program (formerly A.L.L.O.T.), Phi Lambda provides young men with year-round mentorship focused on leadership, academic achievement, character development, and life skills. Beyond mentorship, our commitment extends into local schools through school clap-ins that encourage and inspire students, annual coat drives, Thanksgiving turkey donations for families in need, and scholarship awards that help graduating seniors continue their educational journey. By investing in students both inside and outside the classroom, Phi Lambda continues to empower the next generation to pursue excellence and realize their full potential.

Voter Education & Civic Registration
Phi Lambda remains committed to strengthening our communities by encouraging civic engagement and protecting the power of every voice. Throughout Wake and Johnston Counties, our brothers organize voter registration drives, host candidate forums and community discussions, and engage residents through neighborhood outreach to increase voter awareness and participation. By educating citizens on the importance of the electoral process and encouraging informed civic involvement, Phi Lambda continues Alpha Phi Alpha's longstanding tradition of promoting advocacy, leadership, and active participation in democracy.
Project Alpha
Responsibility & Teen Pregnancy Prevention
Phi Lambda is committed to preparing young men for successful and healthy futures through Project Alpha. Partnering with schools and community organizations throughout Wake and Johnston Counties, the chapter hosts educational workshops that provide age-appropriate discussions on leadership, responsibility, healthy decision-making, relationships, and personal development. By creating safe spaces for open dialogue and mentorship, Project Alpha equips young men with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to navigate the challenges of adolescence while preparing them to become responsible leaders in their families and communities.
Brother's Keeper
Advocacy & Care Initiative
Brotherhood extends far beyond chapter meetings—it is a lifelong commitment to caring for one another. Through Brother's Keeper, Phi Lambda intentionally supports our brothers and their families by providing assistance to widows, organizing yard cleanups and service projects, helping senior brothers with transportation to appointments when needed, and fostering meaningful fellowship through our Senior Brother Caucus. Regular luncheons, social gatherings, and engagement opportunities ensure that our seasoned brothers remain connected, celebrated, and supported. By honoring those who paved the way, Phi Lambda strengthens the bonds of brotherhood across every generation.
